These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Manchester Taxi's services, including private hire taxi bookings, airport transfers, V Class van hire, minibus hire, child seat taxis, wheelchair-accessible taxis, and pet-friendly taxis across Greater Manchester and the United Kingdom. By booking with us, you agree to these terms.
All bookings must be made in advance via our website, phone, or approved booking channels. A booking is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation email from us and have paid the booking payment.
Full payment or a deposit may be required at the time of booking, depending on the journey type. We accept major credit and debit cards. All card payments are processed securely.
Cancellations made up to 05 hours before the scheduled pickup time will receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 05 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee. For airport transfers, we recommend notifying us as early as possible in case of flight changes.
We monitor flight arrivals to adjust pickup times where possible. A standard waiting time of 30 minutes after landing is included at no extra charge. Additional waiting time beyond this may incur extra charges. We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including flight delays or airport congestion.
A grace period of 10 minutes is provided for standard pickups. After this, waiting time charges may apply. For airport pickups, the 60-minute grace period applies as stated above.
Passengers are expected to behave respectfully towards drivers and other passengers. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate a journey if a passenger's behaviour is deemed abusive, threatening, or endangering to the driver or others. No refund will be issued in such cases.
Child seat requests must be made at the time of booking. We will make every effort to provide the appropriate seat for the child's age and weight. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure the child is correctly secured.
Wheelchair-accessible vehicle requests must be specified at the time of booking. We will confirm availability upon booking. Our drivers are trained to assist passengers with mobility needs.
Pets must be declared at the time of booking. Pets must be kept under control and, where appropriate, in a carrier or restrained. Any damage caused by a pet to the vehicle will be charged to the passenger.
Passengers are responsible for their own luggage. Our drivers will assist where possible, but we accept no liability for loss or damage to luggage during transit.
All our vehicles are fully licensed with Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) or the relevant local authority. All drivers hold a valid private hire licence. We reserve the right to substitute a vehicle of similar or higher standard without prior notice.
Manchester Taxi shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to traffic conditions, road closures, extreme weather, or vehicle breakdown. Our liability is limited to the cost of the journey booked.
Any property left in our vehicles will be held for 30 days. We will make reasonable efforts to return lost items. A collection or delivery charge may apply. After 30 days, unclaimed items will be disposed of.
Any complaints should be submitted in writing to [email protected] within 7 days of the journey. We aim to respond within 5 working days. We take all complaints seriously and will investigate fairly.
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
